Hi, how are you this month? 

I spent most of July working on my business, not just in my business. I attended two amazing in person networking events, the first one in Bristol was an eye opener and I came away with some fresh ideas for the direction that I would like to take Sarah Lou Crafts in going forward. 

The second event was local to me where I met some wonderful small business owners and it was lovely to talk open and honestly about the highs and lows of running a business on your own. From the chat I came away with a couple of ideas that I am going to follow up on too as well as making some new friends.

Looking ahead for August, we celebrate Lammas, the harvest festival, giving gratitude, and preparing for the darker months ahead. There is also World Photography day on 19 August, and the Summer Bank Holiday to look forward to. 

Plus I also have several personal events playing clarinet with the two community bands I am part of in Llandeilo & Carmarthen.

Summer Seconds Weekend

The Folksy Summer Seconds Weekend took place from Friday 7 August to Sunday 9 August. It was an opportunity to grab a bargain on some discontinued items and I gave my email subscribers early access to the event too.

I sold the brown & white pawprint mat, the blue cowl scarf and the cream raffia hat.

International Dog Day

International Dog Day is a global celebration held annually on August 26th. It is dedicated to honouring our 'pawsome' pals, raising awareness about dog welfare, and promoting pet adoption.
